Rolls-Royce has begun teasing its first
Collection car of the new decade, the Dawn Silver Bullet Collection. Boldly
described as “an ode to decadence, to frivolity, to heady heydays and
irreverent past times”, the special model is a roadster iteration of the
Rolls-Royce Dawn styled to resemble a silver bullet.
Drawing inspiration from the fabled
roadsters of the 1920s, the Dawn Silver Bullet Collection “captures the
carefree attitude of those far-off days in a bold, contemporary expression
designed for today’s non-conformists and pleasure-seekers”.
Limited to just 50 cars worldwide, the
Dawn Silver Collection will be finished in a newly commissioned Bespoke
ultra-metallic silver paint finish. Highlights include the Aero Cowling which
gives it a high-shouldered profile, a rakish silver center spine that extends
into the cabin, and a vapor-blasted titanium finisher windbreak displaying the
Silver Bullet name and silhouette.
Offsetting the Rolls-Royce Dawn Silver Bullet
Collection’s silver paint is a sinister exterior treatment achieved via dark
detailing, dark headlights and a new dark front bumper finisher. Rounding out
the exterior will be a set of part-polished wheels with a translucent shadow
finish and single silver pinstripe.
The interior will feature an open-pore
carbon fiber fascia, leather jacket-inspired quilted transmission tunnel and
more. Rolls-Royce promises the interior will be “alluringly tactile,
resplendent in materials and craftsmanship of our own time”. The company does
not say when the Dawn Silver Bullet Collection will debut, but it mentions a
series of “Silver Bullet Drives”. Those are described as epic road-trips
curated by Rolls-Royce, which will be made available to owners of the new car via
the new Whispers app.
