The 2020 GMC Sierra and Chevrolet
Silverado are the latest pickup trucks to be transformed by Hennessey
Performance with the Texas tuner announcing it has started production of its
Goliath upgrade package for the duo, first unveiled in February.
The Goliath 700 Supercharged upgrade is
available for models with the 6.2-liter V8 engine and adds a 2.9-liter
supercharger running six pounds of boost. Complementing the supercharger is a
high-flow intercooling system, high-flow air induction system, custom camshaft,
Chromoly hardened pushrods, a crankcase ventilation system, and engine
management calibration that sees the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado lifted
to 700 hp at 6,300 rpm, resulting in a 0-96 km/h time of just 4.3
seconds.
It’s not just straight-line performance
that Hennessey has focused on with its Goliath package as a plethora of parts
have been designed to improve the off-roading credentials of the pickups. This
includes a new front bumper, new LED lights at the front, 20-inch Hennessey
10-spoke wheels finished in black, 35-inch Toyo off-road tires, and an
available 6-inch lift kit for certain trim levels. Hennessey and Goliath
graphics are also available.
Hennessey has also worked in the cabins of
the Sierra and Silverado, designing embroidered headrests and a serial-numbered
dash plaque. There is also a special engine plaque. Customers who want the
engine modifications, as well as the new interior trimmings, will need to part
ways with US$ 29,950 while those who opt for the available off-road package will
need to cough up an additional US$ 18,950. Other optional upgrades include a
complete diamond-stitched interior (US$ 5,950), ram air hood (US$ 5,950), stainless
steel catback exhaust (US$ 2,750), retractable electronic bed cover (US$ 4,450), and
upgraded electronic fold-out steps for US$ 3,450. Hennessey will produce just 100
Goliath Sierra and Silverado models per year.
