You like the new Land Rover Defender yet
feel it could do with some light customization? Enter Chelsea Truck Company and
its so-called ‘First Edition’ package. The tuner gave the SUV a set of 22-inch
forged wheels, privacy tinted glass, several Black Pack carbon fiber components
(front grille, sump guard, rear bumper, lower door panel detailing), while also
massaging the interior.
Also called the Project Kahn First Edition
2020 Defender, the off-roader will be available with multiple special quilted
and perforated soft leather interior packages. Customers will of course be able
to commission their own color scheme, which means that you can really make this
SUV feel bespoke. If you do want a plush interior, such a truck will set you
back £ 69,999 (US$ 88,000), which is what it will take to put this particular
Santorini Black example in your driveway.
According to the British firm’s ad, the
SUV also comes with a Meridian sound system, air suspension, Terrain Response,
LED headlights, a heated windscreen, 12-way heated, electric memory seats,
Connected Navigation Pro, 3D Surround Camera, 360 Parking Air, Blind Spot
Assist and loads more. The British tuner does note that the truck’s sliding
panoramic roof was a factory-spec optional extra.
This First Edition Defender has only done 162 km, so its 2.0-liter SD4 diesel engine is pretty much brand
new. It’s also got 237 HP and 430 Nm of torque, which
means no mods were made to the powertrain.
