Hennessey’s thick catalogue includes
several rides with more power than some modern hypercars. One of them is the
Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, which they aptly named the Exorcist, a tongue-in-cheek
reference to the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon.
Compared to its rival from FCA, which
comes with an 840 HP 6.2-liter supercharged V8, the muscle car from the bowtie
brand tuned by Hennessey has an earth-shattering 1,000 HP at 6,500 rpm and 1,197 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm.
The extra 350 HP and 316 Nm produced by the 6.2-liter supercharged V8, compared to the stock 2019MY, has
dropped the 0-96 km/h from 3.5 to 2.1 seconds, according to the
tuner, and has increased the top speed from 325-350 km/h. The
model can run the quarter mile in 9.57 seconds with an exit speed of 237 km/h.
In addition to the 2.9-liter supercharger
upgrade, high-flow air induction system, custom camshaft, upgraded valve
springs, retainers, intake and exhaust valves, bigger heat exchanger and many
other parts, the Exorcist comes with serial number plaques on the dashboard and
in the engine compartment, special exterior logos and premium floor mats.
Optionally, it can be ordered with a transmission upgrade, track tool kit, new
wheels and 20-inch rear drag radials.
