Audi‘s speedy SQ7 and SQ8 SUVs are adopting a new 4.0-liter biturbo V8 TFSI engine in European markets, offering them increased power and performance to the tune of 507 PS and 770 Nm of torque. Both models will launch this autumn, with prices starting from 93,287 euros (SQ7) and 101,085 euros (SQ8) in Germany, while UK buyers will spend upwards of £ 78,000 (US$ 98,500) and £ 83,000 (US$ 104,800) respectively.

In a straight line, they require just 4.1 seconds to get from zero to 100 km/h, while 80-120 km/h takes just 3.8 seconds. Top speed is of course electronically limited to250 km/h. This is the exact same powertrain that Audi unveiled for the SQ7 and SQ8 in the U.S. earlier this year, priced north of US$ 84,800 and US$ 89,000 respectively.

The high-performance SUVs come standard with adaptive air suspension and all-wheel steering. The former also features electromechanical active roll stabilization – part of a package that includes a sport differential, which shifts torque between the rear wheels as needed during fast cornering. Also standard are the 20-inch wheels (up to 22-inches available) for the SQ7 and 21-inches for the SQ8 (up to 23-inches available).
