Several purported pictures of the
facelifted Peugeot 3008 have surfaced online. Posted on Forum-Peugeot, the
images suggest the crossover will have a revised grille that flows into the
headlights. Speaking of the latter, they’re all-new and feature daytime running
lights / turn signals which droop down like those used on the 208 and 508.
Elsewhere, we can see a new front bumper
with a wider central air intake. There are also pronounced air curtains which
channel air around the sides of the vehicle. The changes are less noticeable
out back, but it appears the crossover will have updated taillights and bright
exhaust tips.
Interior changes are minor, but the model
will apparently be equipped with a new infotainment system that features a significantly
larger display. We can also see a lightly modified steering wheel and plenty of
blue ambient lighting.
Little else is known about the crossover
at this point, but Autocar suggests engine options will largely carryover. If
that’s the case, we can expect an assortment of familiar petrols which may
include a 1.2-liter three-cylinder with 128 hp and a 1.6-liter
four-cylinder with 178 hp. There could also be a plug-in
hybrid variant as well as two hybridized 1.6-liter four-cylinders with outputs
of 178 hp and 197 hp.
On the diesel side, there could be a
1.5-liter four-cylinder with 128 hp. It may be joined by a
2.0-liter four-cylinder developing 178 hp.
