Bentley is looking to make its Continental
GT coupe and convertible models even more appealing by broadening their
exterior paint palette to 62 shades and adding a new steering wheel as
standard. New colors include Viridian, Patina, and Snow Quartz, while the
panoramic glass roof (now available on all Continental GTs) makes for a stylish
choice. The glass roof can finally be had on the V8-powered GT coupe, as
opposed to just the W12.
All in all, there are nearly 10 billion
possible Bentley Continental GT variations that a customer can work with,
according to the British luxury carmaker. By opting for Viridian on your Conti
GT, you end up with a more modern take on the traditional British Racing Green.
Its dark emerald metallic hue is inspired by the color of the EXP10 Speed 6
concept.
With Patina, you get a color that’s
inspired by polished metals, with blends of champagne and silk, plus the
faintest hint of subtle greens. As for Snow Quartz, this is a modern white three-layer
pearlescent paint, which Bentley says provides “an infinite number of
opportunities to complement interior color combinations.” The aforementioned
glass roof, which you can also get on the new Bentayga and Flying Spur, boasts
polarized glass that reduces glare, plus an electronically-operated interior
blind covered in Alcantara.
Last but not least, the steering wheel. It
features a revised shape and profile, boasting capacitive sensing throughout
the rim – for semi-autonomous driver assistance reasons, of course. Also new is
the color split of the wheel, resulting in a fresh look thanks also in part to
a subtle chrome bezel at the bottom of the vertical spoke.
