Haven’t heard of the Deronda G400? We don’t blame you as we hadn’t heard about it either, until we discovered this example that’s up for sale. The Deronda originates in the UK and made headlines back in 2003 with the unveiling of the first prototype of its Type F. For the U.S. market it created the G400, a slightly longer variant outfitted with a naturally aspirated 6.0-liter LS2 V8 engine.


The Bring A Trailer listing reveals this G400 is rated at 400 hp and 542 Nm of torque. The V8 is paired with a Porsche G50 five-speed manual transmission powering the rear wheels, making this thing quite a performer.

Each G400 built has bodywork made from fiberglass and is being underpinned by a chromoly tube-frame chassis, while parts such as the rear wing, fenders, and roll hoop covers are made from lightweight carbon fiber. The car sits on five-spoke 18-inch wheels that are 9-inches wide at the front and 10-inches wide at the rear while wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires. All four corners sport inboard Ohlins coilovers while braking is provided by dual-piston Baer C5 Corvette calipers at the front and single-piston calipers at the rear.


As this is a focused track car, the cabin is almost completely bare and features nothing other than two fiberglass seats, a Sparco steering wheel, a shifter, a small instrument cluster, and a handful of buttons. This same Deronda G400 was auctioned off for US$ 40,269 back in March 2019. At the time of writing, the highest bid stood at just US$ 15,000, but with four days left in the auction, we believe it will increase by quite some margin.
