Renault is launching a van version of the Zoe EV, turning the small electric hatchback into a practical commercial vehicle for small businesses, couriers, and more. The new Renault Zoe Van has had its rear seats deleted, creating a flat load area with a capacity of up to one cubic meter. Renault’s smallest electric van also features a mesh bulkhead behind the front seats and retains the functionality of the rear doors which have an opaque film covering their windows.

Maximum payload is rated at up to 387 kg, with all Zoe Vans featuring a protective rubber flooring in the load area with four anchorage points on the floor. The powertrain remains the same as that of the Renault Zoe passenger model, meaning a 107 HP electric motor and a 52 kWh battery pack. This results in a driving range of up to 394 km on the WLTP cycle.

The Renault Zoe Van can go from 0-100 km/h in 11.4 seconds, with 0-50 km/h completed in just 3.9 seconds. It’s easy to see why Renault claims this new Zoe Van is the ideal vehicle for urban multidrop deliveries. Customers can opt for the 50 kW fast-charging compatibility, which can allow the new Zoe Van to charge from zero to 80 percent in just 1 hour and 10 minutes. A 30-minute session on a 50 kW charger is enough to add 90 miles of range. As standard, all models come with a type-2 charging cable that can charge the battery fully in 3 hours using a public 22 kW charger.

The new Renault Zoe Van will be available in the UK market in two, well-appointed trim levels: the Business and the Business+. The base Business trim comes with standard features such as a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, a 7-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, air-conditioning, full-LED headlights, cruise control, and more.

The Business+ trim adds more technology and comfort features, including satellite navigation, wireless smartphone charging, rear parking sensors and camera, automatic climate control, and 100 percent recycled seat upholstery, among others. Customers can also add the optional 9.3-inch portrait-oriented infotainment system as part of the Technology Pack. The new Renault Zoe Van will be accompanied by the same, five-year 100,000-mile warranty as the regular Zoe, with the battery pack covered separately by an eight-year 100,000-mile warranty.

Prices start from £ 19,380 (US$ 24,320) without the local VAT, but include the UK’s Plug-In Van Grant.
