The redesigned 2021 Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupe will reach U.S. shores in late 2020 with a starting MSRP of US$ 116,000. Actually, that would be US$ 117,050, because you must factor in the US$ 1,050 destination and handling charge. Mercedes-AMG’s big crossover coupe brings more power than ever before thanks to the handcrafted 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine.

It’s newly paired with an electrified EQ Boost starter generator and 48-volt on-board electrical system which promise immediate access to horsepower and torque, a smooth power delivery and the lowest possible energy consumption.

The powertrain produces 603 hp and 849 Nm of torque, enabling the massive SUV to go from 0 to 96 km/h in just 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 280 km/h. The impressive straight-line acceleration tells only half the story, though, as the 2021 GLE 63 S Coupe also welcomes new features that make it more agile and dynamic than ever.

These features include the Active Ride Control active roll stabilization system, AMG active engine mounts, standard AMG Ride Control+ air suspension with adaptive damping adjustment, and a new electronic rear differential.

Tech upgrades also include the standard Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) interface with 12.3-inch touchscreen, voice control and new AMG-specific displays. Also standard are the 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster, MB Navigation with live traffic and map updates for three years, smartphone integration with NFC wireless charging, Burmester Surround Sound, 64-color adjustable ambient lighting, heated and ventilated front seats, and remote start.

Finally, as far as safety features are concerned, the GLE 63 S Coupe offers standard tech like Active LED Headlamps with Adaptive Highbeam Assist, Active Parking Assist, Blind Spot Assist, and Active Lane Keeping Assist.
