The Range Rover Evoque has been updated in
select European markets with new powertrain options and some new interior
technology. In the UK, the updated Range Rover Evoque can now be purchased with
two next-generation four-cylinder Ingenium diesel engines that feature
mild-hybrid technology. The first of these new engines produces 161 hp while
the second is rated at 197 hp.
Both use a belt-driven starter motor and
battery pack while also harvesting energy normally lost under acceleration and
feeding it back to the vehicle’s 48-volt battery. In addition to these two new
mild-hybrid diesel models, Range Rover will sell the updated Evoque in P200,
P250, and P300 forms.
Moving inside, the latest Evoque
includes Land Rover’s new Pivi infotainment system that offers over-the-air
software updates. It also features Spotify integrated directly within the
infotainment menu and offers Bluetooth connectivity for two phones at once.
Customers can now also check the air quality in the cabin through the
touchscreen by activating the new Cabin Air Filtration system.
The final updates relate to the SUV’s
Advanced Driver Assistance features and include a Rear Collision Monitor that
uses radars to constantly monitor what happens behind the vehicle. A 3D
Surround Camera has also been introduced and operates at speeds of up to 30.5 km/h.
UK pricing for the updated Range Rover
Evoque starts at £ 32,100 (US$ 42,167).
