Porsche introduced the facelifted Panamera back in August, and now the company is following up with additional variants. The most notable is the 2021 Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid which is the most powerful Panamera as well as the second most powerful Porsche currently in existence. Motivation comes from a plug-in hybrid powertrain that features a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that produces 563 hp. The model also has a larger 17.9 kWh battery pack which powers an electric motor that develops 134 hp.

This gives the car a combined output of 689 hp and 870 Nm of torque.  It enables the Sedan and Sport Turismo variants to accelerate from 0-96 km/h in three seconds, before hitting a top speed of 315 km/h.

For buyers with more modest budgets, there’s the 2021 Panamera 4 E-Hybrid which slots beneath the recently introduced Panamera 4S E-Hybrid. The non S variant has a twin-turbo V6 engine and an electric motor which is integrated into the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. This gives the model a combined output of 455 hp.  It allows the car to hit 96 km/h in 4.2 seconds, before topping out at 280 km/h.

Besides introducing the plug-in hybrids, Porsche unveiled the 2021 Panamera 4S.  It features a twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 that develops 443 hp. In terms of performance, 96 km/h comes in 3.9 seconds when equipped with the optional Sport Chrono package.  The top speed also climbs by 6 km/h to 295 km/h.

The new Panameras will be available to order in the United States early next year and pricing will be announced closer to launch.  However, that’s several months off as the models aren’t slated to arrive until the spring of 2021.

The cars are currently available to order in Germany and will arrive at dealerships in December. Porsche also announced the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid will have an electric-only range of up to 50 km, while the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid can go up to 56 km. However, both those numbers are according to WLTP EAER City guidelines.
