The 2021 Kia Sorento promises to be a significant upgrade over the outgoing model and the improvements made to the SUV are reflected in its price. In the United States, Kia’s latest price guide reveals the 2021 Sorento LX will kick off from US$ 30,560 with the destination charge. That represents a US$ 2,450 jump over the previous-generation, 2020 Sorento that started at US$ 28,110.
However, this
difference in price can be partly contributed to the fact that the entry-level
2020 Sorento L variant has been dropped. Compare the new Sorento LX to the old
Sorento LX and the price difference drops to US$ 1,350.
The 2021
Sorento S starts at US$ 33,060. That is US$ 1,250 less than the old Sorento S but
rather than featuring a 3.3-liter turbocharged V6 with 290 hp, the new Sorento
S comes exclusively with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder producing 191 hp. One step
up in the 2021 range brings customers to the EX, priced from US$ 36,160 and sold
standard with a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 281 hp.
Topping out the range is the Sorento SX,
priced from US$ 39,160, representing a significant saving of US$ 2,050 over the 2020
Sorento SX. Those after something more high-end can opt for the SX with the
Prestige Package, bringing its price tag up to US$ 41,760, or the Prestige X-Line
package that tops out at US$ 43,760 and comes standard with all-wheel drive. The
2021 Kia Sorento is available now from dealerships across the United States and
has launched with a US$ 2,100 lease incentive and discounted financing.
