The 2021 Ford Edge is now available for purchase in China with some exterior and many interior changes. It is also now called “Edge Plus”, which seems redundant because the pre-facelift Edge is not available anymore.
The old 12.8-inch touchscreen makes way
for two new displays measuring 8 and 13.2 inches across. There is a new
squared-off multi-function steering wheel, and the center console now houses
both the climate controls and the air vents. A cover below conceals a power
socket, a single USB port and a wireless charger.
The car is 4,878 mm long, 1,925 mm wide
and 1,734 mm tall with 2,850 mm between the axles. The radiator grille becomes
wider compared to the pre-facelift version, and the dual exhaust tips look
slightly redesigned. A chrome strip now connects the taillights instead of a
glossy black one.
Powering the car is its old 2.0-liter
turbo-four mill good for 245 PS and 390 Nm, which
still links to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Buyers can choose between
FWD and AWD.
