The end of the line for the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider in the US market has arrived, with the carmaker marking the occasion with the limited 33 Stradale Tributo Edition. As the name suggests, the new Alfa Romeo 4C Spider 33 Stradale Tributo is inspired by the carmaker’s 1967 33 Stradale, one of the most iconic Alfa Romeos of all time and one of the first supercars on the planet.
Alfa Romeo will build just 33 examples of
the new limited-edition 4C Spider, which will come exclusively finished in
tri-coat Rosso Villa d’Este and feature a set of gray-gold alloy wheels
measuring 18 inches at the front and 19 inches at the back. This will also be
the first 4C Spider to have a red transparent finish on its carbon-fiber
monocoque.
The interior of the limited-edition 4C
features composite seats dressed in suede and tobacco leather, with the
dashboard, side sills, and center console getting special plaques with the
unique number of each car. Customers will also receive a matching, numbered
book designed by Centro Stile that goes through the chronicles of the 4C, from
the design concept to technology, materials, and its assembly facility in
Modena, as well as the history of the iconic 33 Stradale.
The spec list is quite long, including
features that were previously optional now listed as standard; this includes an
Akrapovic dual-mode center-mounted exhaust, bi-xenon headlamps, battery
charger, car cover, suede/leather seats, and carbon fiber halo, rear wing, and
Italian flag mirror caps. Customers will be able to opt for piano-black front
air intake and rear diffuser.
The powertrain has been left unchanged and
that means that the turbocharged 1.75-liter four-cylinder engine is still making
237 HP and 258 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels via a
six-speed dual-clutch transmission. Combined with a weight figure that’s under
2,500 lbs, the 4C Spider offers a 0-60 mph in 4.1 seconds and a top speed of 257 km/h.
The new Alfa Romeo 4C Spider 33 Stradale
Tributo is available on select dealers across the US, with prices starting from US$ 79,995 MSRP, excluding destination.
