The Changan CS35 Plus – the second generation of the CS35 SUV that has been around for a few years now – will soon undergo a facelift, and here are its first patent shots.
The compact crossover gains a front fascia
reminiscent of the larger CS55 Plus model, new bumpers at both ends and LED
lights. Compared to the current version (see video), it is 5 mm shorter due to
the new bumpers and measures 4,330 mm long, 1,825 mm wide and 1,660 mm tall
with 2.6 meters separating the axles.
The old 1.6-liter non-turbo engine rated
at 128 PS and 161 Nm is still on offer with a
five-speed manual, Jatco CVT or Aisin six-speed auto transmission. The
1.4-liter turbo four-pot with 158 PS and 260 Nm may yield its place in the lineup to the 1.5-liter turbocharged engine of the
CS55 Plus. The latter has 180 PS and 300 Nm of
torque, and links to a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch
transmission.
Novelty inside boils down to a new
steering wheel, a digital dash cluster, reshaped air vents and a special grip
that links the center console and the front fascia. The touchscreen, which is
currently 10.25 inches across, may become larger, but this is not official.
The pre-facelift version can be had for
69,900 – 109,900 Chinese Yuan.
