Ford is now introducing the new 2021 Explorer King Ranch Edition. The new Ford Explorer King Ranch features a refined interior with a hand-stitched Mesa Del Rio leather seats and armrest, leather door cards, and a leather-wrapped and stitched instrument binnacle, as well as Sapele real wood inserts on the dash and the steering wheel.
The refined interior of the 2021 Ford
Explorer King Ranch Edition is further complimented by the optional Premium
Technology Package that includes multi-contour seats with massage function, a
10.1-inch portrait-oriented touchscreen display for the infotainment system, as
well as a 14-speaker B&O audio system that’s specially tuned to the
Explorer’s cabin.
The exterior of the special edition
features a model-specific Stone Gray mesh grille insert, 20-inch alloy wheels
with a center cap displaying the King Ranch Running W logo, a liftgate scuff
plate, and quad chrome exhaust tips. The first-ever Explorer King Ranch is
fitted with the 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 engine as standard, producing 365 HP and
380 lb-ft of torque and paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations are available. The standard-fit
Class III Trailer Tow Package enables a towing capability of up to 5,600 lbs.
The new Ford Explorer King Ranch is also
fitted with the Co-Pilot360 Assist+, which includes Adaptive Cruise Control
with Stop-and-Go and Lane Centering, Evasive Steering Assist, a voice-activated
touch screen navigation system with pinch-to-zoom capability, SiriusXM Traffic
and Travel Link, and Speed Sign Recognition.
The new Explorer King Ranch is marking 20
years of Ford’s relationship with the famous Texas cattle ranch, which began
with the introduction of the F-150 King Ranch back in 2001. Since then, the
collaboration gave us five generations of F-150 pickup trucks, four generations
of F-Series Super Duty, and three generations of Expedition full-size SUVs. Today,
the workers at the Texas ranch use a fleet of more than 300 Ford trucks.
The new 2021 Ford Explorer King Ranch
Edition is priced from US$ 52,350 in RWD guise, and from US$ 54,350 with AWD. The
first examples will reach dealerships this spring.
