Having introduced a new 2.0-liter petrol engine for the Tarraco last month, Seat has now launched it in the United Kingdom. Available in the FR, FR Sport, Xcellence and XCellence Lux trim levels, it delivers 245 PS and 370 Nm of torque and comes coupled to a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission and AWD.
The new engine allows the mid-size SUV to
accelerate to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 228
km/h This makes it approximately 1 second quicker to 62 mph than the
245 PS and 400 Nm Tarraco e-Hybrid.
Seat’s online brochure reveals a
recommended retail price of £ 40,615 (US$ 57,435) for the FR and £ 42,365 (US$ 59,910)
for the FR Sport in the UK, while the XCellence and XCellence Lux are available
from £ 39,400 (US$ 55,715) and £ 41,160 (US$ 58,205) respectively. The seven-seat SUV
returns 30.7 mpg UK (25.6 mpg US / 9.2 l/100 km) on the combined WLTP cycle and
emits from 195 g/km of CO2 in the FR, and 196, 200 and 197 g/km in the FR
Sport, XCellence and XCellence Lux respectively.
Choosing the Tarraco 2.0 TSI DSG 4Drive FR
will get you sports bumpers, roof spoiler, 19-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry
and driver drowsiness detection. The FR Sport adds 20-inch wheels, heated
washer nozzles and heated front seats. The XCellence spec sits on 19-inch
wheels and features bright roof rails, park assist, adaptive cruise control
with speed limiter and Alcantara upholstery. Finally, the XCellence Lux has
20-inch wheels, 360-degree camera system, rollover assist and exit assist.
