Ford has announced pricing details on the Mustang Mach 1 for the United Kingdom, where it’s available for order with deliveries to kick off in June. Joining the brand’s local pony car family as the most track-capable member, it has a £ 55,185 (US$ 76,785) starting price and features visual and mechanical enhancements over the regular GT.

The 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 produces 460 PS at 7,500 rpm and 529 Nm of torque at 4,600 rpm, or only 10 PS more than the GT Fastback. Meanwhile, America’s Mustang Mach 1 has 480 HP and 569 Nm. The engine is paired to the same Tremec six-speed manual transmission as the Shelby GT350, or to the optional ten-speed auto, which adds £ 2,000 (US$ 2,783) to the starting price.

Other options include 19-inch Y-spoke alloy wheels in high gloss magnetic, a £ 900 (US$ 1,252) extra, and the Mach 1 Appearance Pack, which costs £ 1,400 (US$ 1,948). The bundle brings the Fighter Jet Grey exterior paint finish, contrasted by the Satin Black hood and side stripes, orange brake calipers and orange interior trim.

The Mustang Mach 1 is also equipped with a redesigned front splitter, new rear diffuser design and boot lid spoiler for improved aerodynamics. It has leather sports seats and aluminum detailing inside, special plaque, and enhanced suspension. The adjustable dampers with unique calibration, stiffer front springs and anti-roll bars, new sub-frame and toe-link components, and re-tuned power assisted steering sharpen the car’s response on the road and at the track.
