What you see here is an upgraded variant of Skoda’s rally car. The Fabia Rally2 Evo Edition 120 celebrates the Czech automaker’s 120th anniversary in racing. Already available to customers, it was made by Skoda Motorsport in only 12 units, sports the majority of technical upgrades introduced for the 2021 Fabia Rally2 Evo and is complemented by additional equipment.

Besides the special livery, green magnesium wheels and extra LED lights, it features storage bags or nets for personal belongings, tools, spare parts and other equipment. It also has camel bags for drinking water, bottles for car liquids, belts and holders, as well as a special plaque displaying the production number and unique welcome screens for the two monitors. Rounding out the package is a backpack and a 1:18 scale model of the racer.

As for the changes brought to the regular Fabia rally car for 2021, these include an improved intercooler, optimized exhaust manifold, new valve timing, new setup for the electronic mapping, and better gas exchange and mixture preparation in the combustion chamber. The mods have increased output by 3 HP to 287 HP, depending on the fuel quality.

Moreover, it has newly calibrated dampers for increased traction on all surfaces, a stronger rear axle subframe and a special cooling device for the rear brakes that was originally homologated for tarmac use only. The steering wheel buttons were rearranged and the mounting for the jack was redesigned, thus improving crew comfort. All upgrades have been homologated.

Customers can spec the rally car with more options, such as the longer gear set that makes it suitable for rallies with a high average speed, increasing top speed to  202 km/h, and for low-grip surfaces the company offers a third set of differential ramps that can be used both on tarmac and gravel.
