Nissan has released a teaser video previewing the 2022 Patrol Nismo. Set to be sold exclusively in the Middle East, a part of the world that loves these types of vehicles like these, the new Patrol Nismo has been spied on a couple of occasions in recent weeks during official photoshoots in the Middle East. This high-paced teaser for the SUV provides various glimpses of its striking new design details. It fails to showcase the SUV’s engine or exhaust notes but we already have a good idea of what will power it.
Much like the previous Nissan Patrol
Nismo, this new one is expected to feature a 5.6-liter naturally-aspirated V8
with approximately 428 hp. Sure, there are some more powerful V8 SUVs out there
using forced induction but few will be able to match the sound of this
5.6-liter unit.
Beyond featuring a powerful V8, the Patrol
Nismo will benefit from a handful of exterior and interior upgrades over lesser
variants. For example, the front end will include a revised grille with
enlarged air intakes, a splitter, and some red accents. The SUV will also come
standard with the same 22-inch Rays wheels as its predecessor, complete with
black and silver spokes.
Elsewhere, Nissan has outfitted the Patrol
Nismo with a tweaked rear fascia that includes an aggressive diffuser with a
red pinstripe. Four tailpipes will also come standard. Nissan will officially
unveil the 2022 Patrol Nismo on March 31.
