The Mercedes-Benz EQA will launch in Australia starting next month, with deliveries kicking off in June. The electric crossover will be offered in two versions, the EQA 250 and the EQA 250 Edition 1, priced at AU$ 76,800 (US$ 58,400) and AU$ 84,100 (US$ 63,950) respectively. A 66.5 kWh battery, positioned beneath the floor for optimum weight distribution, powers the 140 kW (190 PS) and 375 Nm of torque electric motor mounted at the front, and gives the car a 480-km range. Charging it at the optional Wallbox from 10 to 80 percent takes 4 hours and 15 minutes, while with a DC connection, the time drops to 30 minutes. Two charging cables, for domestic sockets and public charging stations, are included.
The EQA 250 has adjustable dampers,
19-inch wheels and LED headlights and taillights. The MBUX infotainment system,
with a 10.25-inch center touchscreen, is found inside, next to another
10.25-inch display in front of the driver. Standard features include the
electric tailgate, keyless entry and go, electrically adjustable front heated
seats with memory function, automatic climate control, digital radio, Artico
upholstery, leather-wrapped steering wheel and smartphone integration.
Mercedes’ Driver Assistance Package, with
smart cruise control and active assist functions for steering and braking, is
also standard, alongside the traffic sign assist, parking assist and reversing
camera. The EQA 250 Edition 1 adds 20-inch alloy wheels, AMG Line exterior
trim, additional glossy black details, grey and blue leather upholstery, blue
stitching, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, illuminated door sills, AMG pedals,
exclusive floor mats and a unique key with copper accents.
