Having tuned the A45 S to a jaw-dropping 525 PS and 600 Nm of torque last year, Posaidon has now launched a two-stage upgrade for the Mercedes-AMG A35. The base offering includes a software optimization, lifting the output of the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine from 306 PS and 400 Nm to 355 PS and 500 Nm.

According to the tuner, the 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time has dropped from 4.7 to 4.3 seconds and top speed has gone up by 30 km/h to 280 km/h. A power box is offered as an alternative to the re-tuned ECU, and with it, the engine produces 355 PS and 480 Nm.

The most exciting proposal for the A35 from Posaidon is the so-called RS 400 kit, which, apart from the software upgrade, includes an improved turbocharger. As its name suggests, it unlocks 400 PS and even more torque at 550 Nm, which makes it 13 PS and 70 Nm more powerful than the base A45. The 0-100 km/h sprint is completed in an identical 4.0 seconds, and top speed has increased to 295 km/h.

By comparison, the A45 S, which is the true hot hatch king, has 421 PS and 500 Nm, and is capable of hitting 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, en route to a maximum speed of 270 km/h. Posaidon’s upgrades are also available for other Mercedes-AMG models using the same engine, such as the CLA 35, GLA 35 and GLB 35.
