The forthcoming Nissan Patrol Nismo has been spotted without camouflage for the second time in as many weeks. This particular Patrol Nismo was recently spotted during a commercial shoot in the Middle East and is adorned with all of the same visual upgrades that the pre-facelift Patrol Nismo had when it was unveiled back in 2015.
With this in mind, the upgraded off-roader
includes distinctive front and rear bumpers with red accents and gloss black
trim that works nicely with the silver paint scheme of this particular example.
The front grille is also bespoke. Elsewhere, Nissan has adorned the off-roader
with sporty side skirts and the same 22-inch black and silver Rays wheels as
the old model. The Patrol Nismo also features enlarged tailpipes.
It is unclear what changes Nissan will
make to the cabin of the Patrol Nismo but we suspect alterations will be
limited to the same red tachometer as the 2015 model and newly-trimmed leather
seats with Nismo logos. Aluminum pedals will also be featured. Power is
expected to come from a tuned version of the 5.6-liter V8 powering lesser
Patrol Nismo models. This is the same engine that was used in the old Nismo
variant where it offered up a respectable 428 hp. The 2021 model should produce
about the same, if not a little more.
Nissan only sold the pre-facelift Patrol
Nismo in the Middle East and there’s a good chance this updated model will also
be limited to the same market.
