Arguably one of the prettiest cars in the midsize segment, the 2021 Mazda6 has become a bit more exclusive with the introduction of the Kuro Edition. Limited to just 100 units in the UK, 50 sedans and 50 estates, it is up for grabs from £ 29,250 (US$ 40,314) for the Saloon and £ 30,250 (US$ 41,692) for the Tourer.
Finished in Polymetal Grey Metallic and
accented by the black side mirror caps and 19-inch alloy wheels, on top of the
Burgundy leather interior, the 2021 Mazda6 Kuro Edition features the same
standard equipment as the Sport trim level. This includes, among others, a
premium sound system from Bose, heated steering wheel, keyless entry and LED
DRLs.
Power comes from a 2.0-liter SkyActiv-G
petrol engine that delivers 165 PS. The mill can be found in
the regular Sport models too, matched exclusively to a six-speed manual
transmission, and is joined by the 145 PS variant that can be
coupled to either a manual or an automatic gearbox. Sitting at the top of the
2021 Mazda6 range, which comprises of four Saloons and three Tourers, is the GT
Sport grade, with a 2.5-liter unit that’s rated at 194 PS and
is shared with the 2021 CX-5 SUV.
The GT Sport is distinguished by the gunmetal
grille and comes with Brown Nappa leather, Ultrasuade NU trim, Japanese Sen
wood accents, special stitching on the steering wheel, ventilated front seats,
heated outer rear seats, 7-inch TFT display, 360-degree camera system and LED
interior lighting. All 2021 Mazda6 models get standard wireless Apple CarPlay.
