Ford has revealed two new limited editions for the Ranger in Europe, namely the Stormtrak and Wolftrak models. The new Ford Ranger Stormtrak builds on the popular Wildtrak model and adds more kit and unique finishes. The Rapid Red exterior paint is exclusive to the new Stormtrak, as is the matching red grille insert, and the bonnet and body side decals. If red is not your preference, you can also opt for Frozen White or Blue Lightning.
The equipment of the new Ranger Stormtrak
includes LED headlights, underbody protection, a bed liner, load divider, and
Ford’s new Power Roller Shutter as standard, as well as a black rear bumper,
and three-dimensional badging. All Stormtrak models are fitted with the
range-topping 2.0-liter EcoBlue diesel four-cylinder engine, making 210 HP and 500 Nm of torque, a 10-speed automatic transmission, and a
selectable four-wheel-drive system.
The cabin of the new Ford Ranger Stormtrak
features model-specific seats dressed in the same leather as the Ranger Raptor,
with embroidered Stormtrak logos and bolsters trimmed in technical fabric. Red
stitching is also found while on the dash and center console you’ll find Tinted
Graphite inserts. The other new Ranger model is the Wolftrak, which builds on
the Ranger XLT and is powered by the 167 HP 2.0-liter EcoBlue diesel engine.
Here you can pick either a six-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic
transmission, but goodies such as the selectable four-wheel-drive system with
low range, an electronically locking diff, and all-terrain tires come as
standard.
The new Ranger Wolftrak can be
distinguished by its exclusive long-leg tubular sports bar, the Conquer Grey
paintwork, a protective bed liner, and matt black exterior detailing, including
a set of 17-inch black alloy wheels. The exterior is completed with a set of
plastic-molded side steps and dark Wolftrak badging. Ford is also launching the
new Power Roller Shutter load bed cover as an option to all Ranger Wildtrak
Double Cab models. The new bed cover can be opened or closed via the key fob or
by using the buttons located in the load bed or inside the cabin. The
power-operated bed cover comes with an anti-pinch function to prevent trapped
fingers or damaged cargo.
