Tech giant Huawei has just launched its very first extended-range electric SUV with its technologies across flagship stores in China called SERES SF5. As a part of its "1+8+N" (smartphones, PC, locomotives, headphones, watches, and more) strategy, the smart car created by Huawei and SERES features the DriveONE Three-in-One Electric Drive system for reducing range anxiety and "world-class" coupe performance.

In purely electric mode, the SERES SF5 has a range of over 1,000 km with 0 to 100 km/h speed. The vehicle was built using lightweight aluminum chassis four-ball joint double-wishbone front suspension, and the trapezoidal multi-link rear suspension making it a deliver faster acceleration of 4.68s while providing a more stable tilt control and superior shock absorption. It also has the Huawei HiCar solutions to enable users to seamlessly switch between their mobile phone applications to the vehicle's central control panel for easy access to navigation, music, and more.

Huawei said that it has new experiences like the music on your phone can be continued seamlessly when you get in the car and interactive voice control to allow its users to focus on driving, among others. HiCar can also connect the car to other smart devices, so users in the car can turn on air condition, smart screens, and other connected devices at home. For audio, it has a three-dimensional surround audio system consists of 11 sound units tuned by Huawei SOUND core technicians and acoustic experts. The vehicle also has an NVH solution with a library-level silence of 38 dB to deliver an immersive opera-like sound quality.

It also has a vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) rescue recharge mode which can provide emergency power to isolated vehicles in the wilderness. Also, it goes with a vehicle-to-load (V2L) camping power supply mode to power induction cookers, stereos, and other equipment on the go. For safety, SERES SF5's twisting and bending strength meet five-star safety design standards. In particular, it uses ultra-high-strength 1500Mpa thermoformed steel. it also has L2+ level automatic assisted driving, traffic congestion assistance, full speed domain adaptive cruise control, and other features.

Inside, the front row is equipped with sporty and sophisticated seats with ventilation, heating, and massage functions, and the intimate smart welcome mode makes every getting in and out of the car more comfortable and convenient.   This exciting announcement sets a precedent for both the consumer electronics industry and the new energy vehicle industry, commented Richard Yu, Executive Director, CEO of the Consumer Business Group, Huawei. In the future, we will not only provide leading smart car solutions to help partners build better intelligent vehicles, but also help them sell those vehicles through our retail network across China.
