Lamborghini may have declared that it won’t be attending traditional car shows anymore, but they couldn’t stay away from the 2021 Auto Shanghai in China. The event brought together the finest exotic machines at the Raging Bull’s stand, including the Essenza SCV12, Huracan STO, Huracan EVO Fluo Capsule and Urus.

Celebrating its public premiere after it was unveiled last summer, the Essenza SCV12 is a track-only supercar that traces its roots back to the Miura Jota and Diablo GTR and will be produced in just 40 units. It was developed to meet the FIA prototype safety standards, sporting a new-gen carbon fiber monocoque chassis that doesn’t feature an internal roll cage. Moreover, its advanced aerodynamics help it generate higher downforce levels than a GT3 racer.

The Essenza SCV12 is powered by the brand’s most powerful naturally aspirated V12 ever. It pumps out over 830 PS and is mated to a six-speed sequential gearbox and rear-wheel drive. The car displayed in Shanghai is finished in Verde Selvans, Grigio Linx, Nero Aldebaran Gloss and Arancio California, which is the official launch livery. A Super Trofeo racer for the road developed with Lambo’s motorsport know-how, the Huracan STO has arrived in China for the first time. It has a dry weight of 1,339 kg, with over 75 percent of the exterior panels being made of carbon fiber, and aerodynamic updates that keep it glued to the road.

The 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 develops 640 PS and 565 Nm of torque, rocketing the RWD model to 100 km/h in 3.0 seconds and up to a 310 km/h top speed. The gear changes have been improved compared to the regular Huracan, while stopping power comes from Brembo brakes that use materials derived from F1 applications. Each Huracan STO can be personalized via Lamborghini’s Ad Personam program. Presented last fall, the Huracan EVO Fluo Capsule is making its debut in the Asia-Pacific region finished in matte Verde Shock. Other bright and bold colors available include the Arancio Livrea, Celeste Fedra, Arancio Dac and Giallo Clarus, which can be combined with colorful accents and matte black details.

Lamborghini’s most popular product on sale today, the Urus, is also on its stand at Shanghai. It features a matte Bianco Monocerus exterior, rides on optional 23-inch Shiny Black Taigete rims and boasts the available red brake calipers. Completing Lamborghini’s Shanghai Auto Show display is an area dedicated to the ‘Brand Extension’ that showcases the products which inspired their design DNA.
