Hyundai has released pricing details on the all-new Bayon in Germany, even though it is has yet to launch officially. The Korean brand’s smallest and simultaneously, most affordable crossover will be available in Pure, Select, Trend and Prime trim levels, with a generous host of equipment and different engines.
Priced from € 16,790 (US$ 20,000), the entry-level model has manual air
conditioning, digital radio and Bluetooth. A wide selection of safety gear,
such as lane departure warning, autonomous emergency braking, pedestrian and
cyclist detection, high beam assist and cruise control will be included.
The Select will start at € 18,790
(US$ 22,384), adding 16-inch alloy wheels, rear parking sensors, heated side
mirrors finished in the exterior color, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear
knob, and rear electric windows. The Winter Package, with heated front seats
and steering wheel, is optional.
For the Trend, customers will have to pay
at least € 21,490 (US$ 25,601). This version comes with an 8-inch touchscreen
infotainment system, smartphone integration, 10.25-inch digital instrument
cluster, reversing camera, USB socket, blue ambient lighting, 17-inch wheels
and several other features.
The range-topping Bayon Prime will launch
from € 24,290 (US$ 28,936), benefiting from automatic climate control, keyless
entry and go, rain sensing wipers, front parking sensors, and LED headlights
and taillights.
Power is supplied by an 84 PS 1.2-liter petrol engine or a 1.0-liter turbo in two outputs, 100 PS and 120 PS respectively, depending on the grade. The
latter is offered with a standard 48-volt mild-hybrid system, which is
available as an option for the 100 PS version.
