The recent international facelift of the Skoda Kodiaq saw it receive new exterior styling along with better equipment – but the China version revealed today only gets a small fraction of these updates. Unlike its international counterpart, the Chinese Kodiaq stays unchanged on the outside. Trim levels have been revised, however, and customers in that country have access to the exclusive five-seat coupe/SUV variant named Kodiaq GT.
The base trim features a 9.2-inch
touchscreen display and voice control. The next level brings along a 10.25-inch
virtual dashboard, sensor-based HVAC and perforated leather seat upholstery.
You can specify five or seven seats.
Moving on to the Kodiaq GT, this version
is a five-seater only and comes with the digital dashboard already installed.
Differences from the standard model include blacked-out roof, side view
mirrors, and Skoda badge. A 2.0-liter gasoline turbo-four mill under the hood
still churns out its usual 186 PS or 220 PS, depending on your choice. A seven-speed DCT sends the power to the wheels,
but AWD is only available in the top specification.
Sales in China have already started.
Prices begin from 177,900 Yuan for the standard Kodiaq and 191,900 for the GT.
