Budding automaker Baltasar Cars has unveiled its first project: an all-electric racecar dubbed the Revolt. The name might give off revolutionary vibes, and the Barcelonan company itself seems to reinforce the idea, but there is actually little new about the barchetta. If anything, it reminds us of the ATS, the Lotus 3-Eleven and the Zenos, with the only exception of being electric. Bulgaria-made Kinetik 07 model seems to come closest to it in terms of design.

Baltasar Revolt uses a tube-frame structure and an all-carbon body. Both of its electric motors are mounted at the rear end, producing 507 PS and 1,000 Nm of torque. Combine it with a curb weight as low as 770 kilos, and there is no surprise it sprints 0-100 km/h in mere 2.5 seconds. Note also the side air intakes used to supply cool air to the engine bay.

The company claims it assembles nearly the entire car by hand, except only for the 700V traction battery. The 250kg array of power cells was produced by Spanish company Millor to grant 100 kilometers of range per five minutes of charging. The driving range remains unannounced, but while the car is officially road-legal, it really isn’t meant to be driven much anywhere aside from the racetrack.

The carbon-clad cockpit contains bucket seats, a modest-sized central display, a quick-release steering wheel, and a charging slot. Pre-orders are already being processed starting from € 230,000.
