The current-gen Ford Expedition will soon be getting a Timberline variant that has recently been spotted running around. According to the images, most of the changes will take place at the front and the rear ends. Chances are we will be seeing a redesigned radiator grille, updated F-150-style headlights, and a few off-road-friendly options. This will probably include underbody protection, a lift kit, towing eyes, and meaty Goodyear Wrangler tires.

The car will most likely draw its power from the same old 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 available in 375 and 400 PS variants. Ford might give it a slight boost to lift it a notch above the rest of the Expedition lineup, though. The transmission will be ten-speed automatic as usual, and a hybrid powertrain from the latest F-150 might be offered as an alternative.

Seeing how little camo is left on the car, we suspect the premiere could be right around the corner.
