McLaren Special Operations, or MSO for short, has put the 720S in the colors of Gulf Oil, the company that has sponsored many racing teams throughout the years.

Aside from the signature greyish-blue-and-orange paintjob, the supercar landed with matching orange calipers, a steering wheel with an orange stripe and blue carbon-fiber spokes, bi-color stitching, and Gulf Oil logos on the seats. Things stayed stock under the hood, meaning a 3.8-liter V8 TT mated with a 7-speed DCT for 720 PS.

McLaren had used the Gulf livery in the Can-Am and Formula 1 races in 1968 through 1973. The memorable paint scheme was revived once in the 1990s when the GTC Competition team put it on its McLaren F1. Last year, however, Gulf Oil once again became a partner of McLaren Automotive, so we should probably be looking forward to more such special editions.
