The Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S has been turned into the Brabus 800, with the tuner making a number of significant alterations to the performance SUV. Available for the Coupe version as well, the power boost, which comes thanks to modified turbochargers and new engine re-map, has unleashed a total of 800 PS and 1,000 Nm of torque. The extra 188 PS and 150 Nm squeezed out of the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 has dropped the 0-100 km/h sprint time from 3.8 to 3.4 seconds, while flat out, the tuned GLE 63 S will do 280 km/h.
A stainless steel sports exhaust system
has been fitted, improving the sound produced by the engine or making it
quieter so as not to disturb the neighbors. The air suspension has been retuned
by Brabus and lowers the ride height by 25 mm, while the SUV sits on
10×24-inch Monoblock Z Platinum Edition rims shod in 295/30 tires. The tuner
also offers other wheel options for the GLE, with diameters ranging from 21 to
24 inches.
Carbon elements have replaced the OEM
wheel arch trim and are joined by the front spoiler lip, upgraded side air
intakes in the bumper, tweaked grille, rear diffuser insert and roof spoiler.
Contrasting the black body of the SUV are a few red accents.
Most of the cockpit has been re-trimmed in
fine leather upholstery combined with carbon fiber and metal elements and also
sports special entry sills backlit in the same color as the ambient lighting.
This tuned AMG GLE 63 S is listed for sale by Brabus in Germany with an asking
price of € 299,005.35 (US$ 364,841). By comparison, the stock GLE 63 S starts at
€ 138,646.90 (US$ 169,175) in its home market.
