The next-gen Chevrolet Silverado is already far into its development stage, and so is its off-road focused ZR2 version first spotted on the streets in April. Today, an even better equipped ZR2 Trail hit the streets. The prototype vehicle boasts plenty of ride height and a protective plate at the bottom. Thick camouflage prevents us from discerning most details, but we expect the main innovations to take place under the hood. A couple of ZR2 Trail badges on the body should be about all that will let you tell it from the normal ZR2.

Power to the tune of 425 PS comes courtesy of a 6.2-liter V8, the same model as in the latest Silverado. A forced-induction V8 spec might also become available, but Chevrolet has not confirmed it yet. On the other hand, an all-electric version has been confirmed.
