Jeep has unveiled its Wrangler 4xe model for Europe. The off-roader can be charged from a wall socket, run 0-100 km/h in 6.4 seconds, and cover 50 kilometers on electricity alone. Dealerships across Europe will get their first examples in June.
Compared to the stock model, the new Wrangler looks the same except for the blue accents supposed to symbolize environmental friendliness. The hybrid powertrain centers on a 2.0-liter petrol engine assisted by dual electric motor-generators. An eight-speed automatic transmission sends the power to all four wheels through an electronically lockable differential.
The Europeans will be able to choose from three available versions: 80th Anniversary, Rubicon, and Sahara. Depending on your choice, you may get a large infotainment display, a high-end audio system with a subwoofer, parking assistance, blind spot monitoring, remote engine start, and cruise control.
