Audi has teased a trio of concept cars that are expected to be unveiled over the next 12 months. The three vehicles have been previewed on LinkedIn by Audi brand vice president Henrik Wenders and Audi head designer Mark Lichte. Dubbed the Sky Sphere, Grand Sphere, and Urban Sphere, the trio are thought to be part of Audi’s Project Artemis which is set to spawn a pioneering EV that will be launched as soon as 2024.
In a video featuring both Wenders and Lichte, the duo speak about the three concepts and how they are “unmistakably Audi” and look towards the future of mobility. The first concept teased is the Sky Sphere. An outline provided of this model showcases a sleek two-door with large wheels, a long hood, and a low roofline. Next is the Grand Sphere, which Lichte describes as having a “grand appearance” that will provide a “grand, high-class experience for all senses.” Based on the teaser, it appears to be a large sedan.
Last but not least is the Urban Sphere. Wenders describes it as a “private space in urban environments” that’s “digital, social, involving, and perfectly centered around you.” It takes the shape of a large SUV. It remains to be seen if Audi has plans to produce any of these concepts, but at least one of them may preview the aforementioned EV that Audi intends to launch in 2024. Stay tuned for more details about the concepts in the coming weeks.
