DS has launched the Ligne Noire (French for “Black Line”) version of its 7 Crossback SUV for Europe. Let’s see where the novelty’s at. Compared to the standard model, the spin-off boasts black side window bezels, taillight frames, trunk stripe, and roof rails. You can still choose from six available exterior finishes.

The trim level is based off Bastille+, but additionally includes 19-inch Roma wheels, DS Active LED Vision rotary headlights, front and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera, aluminum pedal pads, and footrests. Hybrid versions also get laminated windows and camera-based adaptive suspension that adjusts itself based on the terrain type.

You can choose between grey and black Nappa leather with diamond stitching for the upholstery. The base spec features a leather steering wheel, power front seats, and a B.R.M R180 clock. The engines stay stock. There is a 1.5-liter turbo diesel rated at 130 PS and 300 Nm of torque and a 1.6-liter gasoline engine good for 181 PS and 250 Nm. The latter can be obtained in two hybrid variants, one rated at 225 PS and 360 Nm and the other one at 300 PS and 520 Nm.
