The new Roewe i5 GT will be introduced to the attendees of the Chengdu Auto Show in late August. For now, we only know for a fact that it will be wearing a sporty body kit for the occasion; power details remain unannounced.

Compared to the standard i5 model, the GT has its large radiator grille, badge, middle section of the front bumper and side mirrors blacked out. There are dual exhaust tips in the back that we suspect to be fake, and a rear diffuser with an imitated carbon fiber finish. As for the wheels, they look around 16 inches large.

The facelifted Roewe i5 comes with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine under the hood rated at 120 PS and 150 Nm of torque. You can choose between a five-speed manual and a CVT to drive the front wheels.

The standard sedan pictured in the attached video is 4,601 mm long, 1,818 mm wide and 1,489 mm tall with 2,680 mm between the axles. It has LED lighting throughout and comes priced between 67,900 and 89,900 Chinese Yuan.
