Lotus announced the pricing details of the Evira V6 First Edition, which starts from £ 75,995 (US$ 104,065) in the UK, and € 95,995 (US$ 112,452) in Germany. As for the entry-level Lotus Emira with the AMG-sourced four-cylinder turbo engine, it’s priced from £ 59,995 (US$ 82,155) in the UK, and it will join the range later, in 2023. The new Emira V6 is powered by the Toyota 2GR-FE 3.5-liter V6 engine with an Edelbrock 1740 supercharger. The mid-mounted motor produces 400 hp and 420 Nm of torque in combination with the six-speed manual gearbox, or 430 Nm when fitted with the six-speed auto.
0-100 km/h takes 4.3 seconds with the manual and 4.2 seconds with the optional auto, while the top speed is set at 290 km/h in both cases. Lotus has also announced the drag coefficient of the Emira at 0.349 cd. The First Edition is a full-spec trim available during launch, and can be distinguished by special badging; it comes equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels (silver or gloss black), branded calipers, full-LED lights, and a titanium exhaust finisher. The Lower Black Pack -fitted as standard- adds a glossy black finish on the bumper air blades, splitter, side sills, and diffuser.
There are six available colors for the exterior (Seneca Blue, Magma Red, Hethel Yellow, Dark Verdant, Shadow Grey, and Nimbus Grey), with more options following in 2022. For the interior Lotus offers seven colors (red, black, grey, tan Nappa leather, and black Alcantara with either red, yellow, or grey stitching) combined with satin chrome trim and white mood lighting. Standard equipment of the First Edition includes the 12.3-inch instrument cluster, the 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen (Apple CarPlay / Android Auto), heated seats with 12-way adjustments, climate control, cruise control, keyless start, rear parking sensors, heated power-fold mirrors, selectable drive modes, and a 10-channel/340W premium sound system developed by KEF.
The free-of-charge Convenience Pack adds front parking sensors, a rear reversing camera, rain-sensing wipers with aero blades, auto-dimming mirrors, and a rear luggage storage net. Courtesy of the Design Pack which is also a no-cost option for the First Edition, the Emira gets privacy glass, sports pedals, black Alcantara headliner, Lotus-branded footwell mats, and painted brake calipers (black, red, yellow, or silver).
Buyers will also benefit from the no-cost Drivers Pack, offering a choice between the Tour of Sport suspension / Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport tires, or the Sport suspension / Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires combinations. Optional features include the six-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters (£ 1,800 / € 2,600), and the Black Pack (£ 1,200 / € 1,370).
Lotus will start production of the Emira V6 First Edition in spring 2022, with the four-cylinder First Edition to follow in autumn 2022. The entry-level Emira is scheduled for 2023. Anyone that is interested can try the updated configurator of the Lotus Emira on the official website.
