Having only been made in Mexico so far, the Ford Mustang Mach-E is now available to pre-order in China as well, where production started yesterday. First deliveries will be made before the end of the year.
Customers in China can choose from several
available modifications of the car, starting with an affordable RWD variant
coming in two battery sizes. An AWD spec churns out 488 PS and 860 Nm of torque, accelerating to 100 km/h in 3.6 just
seconds. The longest-range version offers 619 kilometers of driving
on a single charge, but keep in mind that China uses its own, rather relaxed,
driving range measurement system.
All Mach-E trims in the country come
pre-loaded with numerous electronic aids that grant it SAE Level 2 self-driving
capabilities straight from the factory.
