The Fisker Ocean draws ever closer to production after its original announcement two years ago, but it has yet to run some tests. The latest video from CEO Henrik Fisker shows him sitting behind the wheel of his battery SUV as it rides around a challenging test circuit.

The test aims to determine how comfortable the SUV feels when driving on bumpy surfaces, how easy it is to handle in general and how stable it is on wet asphalt. The test ground also features a dirt track and few steep hills.

In the United States, the Fisker Ocean will ship with a selection of powertrains rated between 275 and 550 PS. It will offer between 400 and 560 kilometers of battery range according to the latest U.S. standard and be able to sprint 0-97 km/h in 3.9 seconds. The latter is only valid for the top specification, though.

Fisker announced last fall that prices would begin from US$ 37,499. The production is set to start at the Magna industrial complex in Austria on November 17, 2022.
