Geely has shared some images of its updated Binyue Cool SUV, otherwise known as the Coolray. The design direction remains the same, but a few updates here and there can be seen. AutoHome claims the car will debut a new 1.5-liter turbo engine.
Compared to the pre-facelift version shown
in the attached video, the new car sports a more aggressive front end complete
with a pronounced bumper, a large radiator grille and some angular inserts. New
taillights and a ‘3D’ spoiler round off the look.
The interior is only shown via sketches
right now, but we expect its final version to be similar or even identical to
that of the Binrui Cool sedan, which debuted not long ago. At 4,380 x 1,800 x
1,609 mm with 2,600 mm of wheelbase, the updated SUV is slightly larger than
the old one. Its 1.5-liter turbocharged four-pot makes up to 181 PS, letting it accelerate up to 200 km/h.
The remaining parameters should be
revealed closer to the sales launch, but the date remains unknown. It seems
likely that the 2023 Geely Coolray comes out in China later this year, but not
guaranteed.
