Geely’s flagship SUV, the Haoyue, will be getting a facelift version named Haoyue L. Judging by the images posted by the Ministry of Industry of China so far, it will differ significantly from its predecessor.

The outlines, wheel arch shapes and c-pillar design will stay the same, but the differences compared to the current version will still be noticeable (watch the video and compare if you want to). For example, there is an impressively large octagonal grille in the facelift version with a thick bezel and chrome bars. The front bumper features larger air intakes of a different shape, and the headlights and new, too.

At the rear end, the taillights are still connected with an LED bar, but their shapes are new. The rear bumper is redesigned, too, with fake protective add-ons and reshaped exhaust tips. These add 20 mm to the length of the car.

The current-gen Geely Haoyue ships with a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine rated at 184 PS. According to the patent filings, the L version will trade it for a 2.0-liter four-cylinder mill good for 217 PS.
