GAC Hycan has revealed several teaser images of an upcoming electric minivan. The still-unnamed vehicle is being advertised as the world’s first MPV with 800V power architecture. CarNewsChina believes it will replenish enough charge for 200 km of driving in just five minutes. The premiere will take place at the Guangzhou Auto Show on December 30, 2022.
Based on the images, the car is a
mass-market representation of the Concept-M revealed last year. The outlines
are largely the same, the headlights are minimalist and the LED DRLs are
fang-shaped like on the concept. The rear shot reveals the brake lights, a
large spoiler and an imitated rear diffuser.
The trim specification mentions a
multi-display infotainment system powered by dual Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155
chips, as well as a state-of-the-art LiDAR sensor capable of recognizing
pedestrians within 100 meters and cars within 250 meters.
Any powertrain specifics will have to
remain unknown. Back in summer, the company showed us a sedan called the A06. That car received electric motors rated up to 460 PS. The MPV might get some of the same motors.
