The Hyundai Universe long-distance bus can now be obtained in South Korea in a new version called Mobile Office, equipped with 13 workspaces for working on the go. Prices start from 530.6 million KRW (US$ 400,000). Buyers can choose from multiple interior layouts optimized for 10–13 employees with an opportunity for customized areas at the front and the rear ends.
The individual seats come equipped with
reclining backs, tables, wireless chargers, luggage compartments and personal
infotainment screens. The office areas accommodate folding tables, sofas and
video conference equipment. All luggage spaces can be configured to suit the
individual needs of the buyer, Hyundai says. The floor is lined with laminated
wood, and the windows are equipped with remotely controlled blinds.
It is unknown what engines will be
available, but it is safe to assume that most of them, if not all, will be
taken from the original Universe model. This means diesels ranging from 9.9 to
12.7 liters of displacement, maxing out at 380 PS and 1,570
Nm of torque.
Hyundai currently has no intention to
offer the Universe Mobile Office outside of its domestic market.
