IM Motors showed us its first mass-market car – a sedan named the L7 – last summer. Now, it has announced a crossover SUV called the LS7, which should go on sale in March. Both models run on the same tech, so most of the difference is in the looks. The car revealed today sports simplified headlights and a rear end obviously inspired by the Aston Martin DBX. The windshield has an electrochromic layer only visible in direct sunlight.
By default, the LS7 comes equipped with
air suspension and Brembo performance brakes, as well as a radar and two LiDARs
on the roof. The self-driving autonomy level is currently at a low 2, but the
company promises to keep releasing upgrades for it in the future.
The top spec benefits from dual motors and
AWD, hitting the asphalt with 578 PS and 725 Nm of torque. Sprinting from zero to 100 km/h succeeds in 4.5 seconds,
and the traction battery holds up to 100 kilowatt-hours of power. The actual
driving range remains to be revealed.
