Chinese premium automaker Hongqi is attending the ongoing 2022 Guangzhou Auto Show with a new liftback named the H6, AutoHome reports. Compared to the company’s other models, the new one boasts sported-up looks and targets younger audiences. The sales will begin in spring.
The car is basically a five-door
equivalent of the H5 sedan, but not without quirks. On the outside, it sports a
dynamic roofline, a more prominent sculpted hood and a different radiator
grille pattern.
The interior with its bulky center tunnel
and large display largely corresponds to that of the H5, but the steering wheel
is squared-off and there are sport seats at the front. Judging by the photos,
contrast-rich two-tone trim will be an option for those wishing to liven things
up a bit.
The dimensions are stated as 4,990 x 1,880
x 1,455 millimeters (L/W/H) with a wheelbase spanning 2,920 mm. This means the
H6 is virtually identical to the H5 in this respect. To highlight its
sportiness and demographic targeting, it gets a more powerful engine than the
H5 – a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder mated to an eight-speed automatic
transmission. The output is at 245 PS.
