Peugeot is getting another generation of the 3008 ready to rumble. We have already seen a test mule disguised as a Citroen run around on the streets, and now, a test car was spotted in a production body.
In the first part of the footage, you can
see the test driver trying to escape the camera person and nearly losing
traction in the process. The video was filmed somewhere in Scandinavia with the
roads iced over, so attempting an escape was probably dangerous.
As you can see, there is little on
the car itself worth pointing out. The alloy wheels look like obvious
placeholders soon to be replaced with production rims, but the body looks
almost finalized except for the bloated rear end. We suspect the company may be
using fake bodywork at the back to hide the actual shape, and that the
production version of the car will look much like the new Peugeot 408.
Rumor has it that the next-gen 3008 will
offer a wide selection of powertrains including petrol, PHEV and all-electric.
