The latest-generation of Hyundai Elantra has always looked remarkable, but with its recent mid-cycle refresh, the brand’s designers have made it look good. Now the automaker is ready to show American consumers what they can expect from the model. The most apparent change for readers, will be the new grille, which is divided into two parts, and looks a little less like a gaping maw now. First unveiled in Korea in February, the new face is joined updated front and rear fascias, thinner DRLs, a flat stainless steel badge, new front fenders, and more. American customers can expect to choose from new 15, 16, 17, and 18-inch wheels, and new colors (Ecotronic Gray, Ultimate Red, Exotic Green, and Amazon Gray) will help them really make the 2024 Elantra their own.

Inside, new soft-touch front door panels, a 4.2-inch instrument cluster design, three new USB-C outlets, plus a redesigned wireless charging pad help bring a little more luxury to the sedan. New color choices and H-Tex leather seating surfaces in the Limited trims will also help make the Elantra a little more luxurious. In addition to the aesthetic updates, Hyundai is also making the Elantra safer for 2024. New rear side airbags and rear seatbelt reminders are now standard on all trims. In addition, the haptic steering wheel feedback has been added to the Lane Keeping Assist, Blind-Spot Collision-Warning, and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, to provide drivers with yet another cue about what’s going on around them.

 

The Limited trim also now comes with a Surround View Monitor, Blind-Spot View Monitor, and a parking distance warning in forward and reverse. The trim also gets less safety-oriented features, like a Bose Premium Audio system with eight-speakers, which is also standard on the N-Line trim. Digital Key 2 that is compatible with both iPhone and Android, vehicle WiFi hotspot, and Bluelink+ are now available throughout the lineup, and a six-speaker audio system comes standard. A familiar collection of engines returns for 2024, which includes a 1.6-liter turbo, a 1.6-liter hybrid, a 2.0-liter, and a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that was designed specifically for the Elantra N.

Also updated for 2024, the high performance model gets a new front grille and fascia, new side sills, 19-inch forged alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, and more. Dual exhausts, a rear spoiler, engine mount membrane reinforcements, G bushing reinforcements, and other improvements all help provide owners with a stunning drive.

Set to go on sale this fall, prices have not yet been revealed for the 2024 Hyundai Elantra.
